Allie Frankel

  • Advisor for students applying to medical school
  • Attending: Undecided.  Currently Accepted to USC School of Medicine, University of Michigan, and Tulane University for the Class of 2021

Allie was born and raised in Southern California but was bitten by the travel bug when she was young. While exploring five continents; Allie has studied in Australia for four months, helped care for cheetahs in South Africa, worked with elephants in Thailand, and built a house with Habitat for Humanity in Cambodia.  An adrenaline junky, Allie has been skydiving, bungee jumping, and whitewater rafting.

Allie graduated from UCSD where she majored in human biology and minored in psychology. She would definitely consider herself a nerd because she is immensely excited by the subjects of metabolic biochemistry and immunology. Yes, she even draws pictures of animated immune cells in her free time.

As a former TA and current teacher for Americorps, Allie has found a passion for working with students to help them reach their goals. Allie is excited to help pre-meds achieve the difficult task of getting into medical school. Having gone through the process herself, Allie knows what it takes to create an excellent application and loves sharing her knowledge and wisdom with her students.
