Future Medical Student

Passport Admissions was crucial to my success as an applicant. As a non-traditional student, I was very anxious about applying to medical school, because I didn’t have the health career services available to most undergraduate students, or department letters of recommendation, or, well, anything else but good grades and test scores... I literally had no idea how to apply to medical school.

Turns out, that didn’t matter one bit. Rob walked me through the year-long process of applying, step by step, week by week (often multiple times), to make sure I knew what needed to be done, and when. Rob told me how to apply before taking the MCAT, which is something I wouldn’t have figured out, and with Rob and Lyn’s help my AMCAS was verified in late July, which was far ahead of the bulk of applicants. Lyn and Rob pushed me to finish my secondary essays so early that I could complete my secondaries the same day I received them, which looks really good to schools.  And, with over ten interviews, I definitely benefitted from Alison’s interview prep, particularly with the MMI’s. I felt like Alison’s tips definitely pulled me through some of the trickier stations, and I got accepted at NYU, which uses MMI’s, so clearly something is working!

I would recommend Passport Admissions to anyone who feels overwhelmed by the process of applying, especially non-traditional students. Without the help of health career services from an undergraduate institution, Passport is a must!”
