When I first started applying to med school, I expected my stress level to go through the roof from what I have heard from friends. However, my experience has been surprisingly pleasant and even exciting, and I know this is because I had Rob and Lyn from Passport supporting me through the process. If you have Rob and Lyn as a team, that is the Golden Team. I worried most about how to portray myself through paper to make sure that med schools really got a good picture of who I am as a person, and not just a dry resume. Rob was the Application Master who guided my application to the right direction and helped me choose the right experiences to focus on. If I had any question about the application process, however small, he always had the answers. Then, when med schools ask you to describe yourself and your life under 1000 characters, which is only couple of lines, how are you suppose to do that? But Lyn knew how to. I call her the Word Magician who helped my stories come alive on paper. As a person whose first language is not English, having Lyn who always knew the right words and where to put it was brilliant. My experience with Passport was so rewarding that in fact I have enrolled my high school brother as well to get help with his college application. I wish I was more articulate to express how much I appreciate having their help through this process. It is really hard to care for others as you care for yourself, but I truly felt that they had my back and wanted me to succeed. They really made my application shine among thousands of apps and I highly recommend working with Passport, and with Rob and Lyn in general.
