A Kashmiri American born and raised in Orange County, Arvin has loved medicine and philosophy throughout his life. As a BA/MD student at UCSD, Arvin majored in economics and minored in philosophy, studying Advaita Vedanta, Buddhism, and Hellenistic Philosophy.
In medical school Arvin has cultivated a love for neurological surgery and the management of patients in the acute care/critical care setting. With an appreciation for both the philosophy of suffering and the pathology of disease, Arvin wants to combine cutting-edge science with patient-oriented medical care. He especially enjoys mentoring students and has experience teaching physiology and humanities writing courses.
Arvin loves to spend time outdoors and especially surfing, both appreciating and advocating for the protection of our environment.
