Does anyone get into med school these days? From the stories you've probably heard, it may seem like the answer is no. It's especially hard for California residents, since we have 7 in-state applicants for every spot in our public medical schools (hence, one of California's little known exports to other states: pre-meds).

In this webinar, we will talk through the issues involved with choosing the right college for you. Specifically, we'll discuss:

  • Good and bad reasons to become a doctor

  • What medical schools look for in their applicants

  • How to choose your major (and the pro's and con's of being a science major)

  • The world's first ranking of the best colleges for pre-meds (hot off the press!) and where your potential colleges stand on that list

  • The questions to consider when choosing a college for pre-meds

About the presenter:

Rob Humbracht has helped get students into medical school for 19 years, first as an MCAT instructor for a national test prep company, and for the last 12 years, he's worked with 500+ pre-meds as founder and head advisor of Passport Admissions. Rob is the Editor-in-Chief of the most popular blog for pre-meds, The Savvy Pre-Med. He regularly guides rising freshmen (and their parents, of course) through the process of developing a 4-year plan, both in the classroom and out, for how to stand out and get into medical school.
